About the Author
Raida Jarjes. She is an Iraqi poet, visual artist, and Founder and President of The Leading Word Humanitarian and Cultural Organization. She holds degrees in both Law and English Literature and lives in the United States.
Her published poetry collections in Arabic have been translated into English and featured in international anthologies. Known for her lyrical voice, she writes about identity, memory, love, and displacement. She also works in acrylic painting, wood burning, and collage, exploring symbolic imagery.
Her organization supports orphans, widows, and displaced people, and promotes culture and human connection through creative and humanitarian projects. She continues to create and inspire.
About the Artist
Mustafa Abdul Wahid is an Iraqi visual artist based in Mexico. He works across several artistic media, including colored pencils, acrylic on canvas, and oil on canvas. His work explores a variety of subjects, with a particular interest in nature and expressive visual storytelling.
Mustafa is also skilled in children’s illustration, bringing warmth, imagination, and a playful sensitivity to artwork created for young readers.
He speaks Arabic, English, and Spanish.
